Just my personal faves, anyway. And by "favorites," I don't really mean favorite Beatles songs-- I really, no matter how hard I try, can't limit myself there. I more just mean songs that proved fun to write about even if I didn't think the songs would be that great, or songs that just struck as particularly amazing on
that particular day in a nice bit of kismet, or songs that seemed to resonate with people, or something. So here they are. Maybe this is, like, the best of A Year in the Life. Anyway, enjoy! Hope everyone has a fun last night of the year... as usual, the Beatles are making it better for me.
I've enjoyed so many of your write-ups, I don't think I could pick a list of just 10 favorites. That said, I'm only biased against your essays on She Said She Said and Nowhere Man because I'm not a big fan of either song.
ReplyDeleteI loved the one on Why Don't We Do It In the Road? It helped me understand why I love that song so much.
Hi Megan. I can't find your email address here, although naturally I realise that's probably no accident. Can you get in touch? I'm setting up a website and would love to have you contribute. Email me at:

Good afternoon Megan,
ReplyDeleteGood work on the blog. There are a few things on here that I haven't looked at in that way, so it's been quite an eye opener!
I have added a link to your site from one of mine (it's very much in it's early stages as its a side project but you have inspired me to pull my finger out).
The address is sites.google.com/site/thebeatlesprints/home/beatles-links - i hope this doesn't look spammy!
Thanks very much!
Martin
